Línea 12 is a two-circuit public bus route on the Santa Elena Peninsula. Unlike single-run lines such as Línea 7, Línea 12 is split into two connected circuits that some buses run end-to-end and others do not — riders may need to change buses partway through the journey.

ℹ️ Línea 12 has two circuits. Circuit 1 (marked red on the map) runs from the Fuerte Militar in Salinas to Terminal Terrestre Sumpa. Circuit 2 (marked blue on the map) runs from Terminal Sumpa onward to Ancón, and every 3rd bus continues further to Atahualpa. Some buses run the full Salinas → Ancón/Atahualpa journey without stopping; others terminate at Terminal Sumpa, where riders transfer to the next Circuit 2 bus.
ℹ️ How to know where a bus is going: Check the destination sign on the front of the bus. Signs are not always updated in time, so if in doubt, ask the driver to confirm before boarding — especially if you need Ancón or Atahualpa specifically.
