Beach volleyball is a popular sport throughout the Santa Elena Peninsula, especially in Salinas and Montañita. The flat, firm sands of the main beaches provide ideal conditions, and both casual and competitive play can be found year-round.
Best Locations
Chipipe (Salinas) has permanent beach volleyball nets set up along the beachfront. This is the main venue for organized tournaments and regular pickup games, especially on weekends.
Montañita main beach has nets and is popular with the international crowd — you'll often find impromptu games involving travelers and locals.
La Libertad beachfront occasionally has nets for community play.
Tournaments

Casual Play
