San Pedro is a fishing comuna of Manglaralto parish on the Ruta del Spondylus, right next to Valdivia and just north of Ayangue.

The pilgrimage
San Pedro is known across the canton for its pilgrimage in honour of its patron, Saint Peter, the protector of fishermen.
Good to know
Some houses on the hill above the village were damaged by landslides in the 1997–98 El Niño. In very heavy rain, take care on the hillside — see Natural Hazards on the Peninsula.
