⛵ Puerto Lucía
The peninsula's yacht club and marina — where sailors leave their boats to explore Ecuador and the Galápagos.
Puerto Lucía is the area between La Libertad and Salinas home to the Puerto Lucía Yacht Club, a marina and boatyard on Salinas Bay. You can spot it from the bay by its apartment towers, the middle one with a white pyramid roof.

| Where | Between La Libertad and Salinas, on Salinas Bay |
| Marina | Floating docks, moorings and a hardstand |
| Boatyard | The only Travelift in the area |
| Arrival | 48 hours' notice required before arriving by boat |
For sailors
Cruising sailors use Puerto Lucía to haul out, repair or store their boats while they travel overland or fly to the Galápagos. The club has pools, a gym and security, and a shopping mall is about 10 minutes' walk away. Expect surge in the marina at times.
A border question
Puerto Lucía and Balcones de Carolina are among the areas whose canton boundary between Salinas and La Libertad has never been formally settled; both municipalities include them in their plans.
