San Pablo's long, open beach has an estuary at one end. The big Ecuasal saltworks at Pacoa are close by.<br />

A new bypass starts near San Pablo and runs past Cerro Alto and [[Baños de San Vicente]] to the E-40, so traffic from Guayaquil to the north coast no longer has to go through Santa Elena city.<br />
