== Overview ==

[[Las Tunas]] has a network of suspension bridges over the streams and gullies between the village and the jungle interior — one of the most accessible and enjoyable short jungle experiences on the Ruta del Spondylus. The bridges cross over densely vegetated stream valleys where the forest is thick, the bird life is active, and the combination of water sound and tree canopy makes for a completely different atmosphere from the beach.

The walk requires no guide and no advance arrangement. Ask locally in Las Tunas for the current route — paths change and bridges may be maintained or replaced over time.

== What to Expect ==

The walk from the village through the bridge network takes 1–2 hours at a comfortable pace. The suspension bridges are the main attraction — swinging footbridges over jungle streams, some 20–30 metres above the water. The vegetation around the streams is dense riverine forest, different from the drier scrub on the coastal slopes.

Wildlife commonly encountered: various birds along the stream edges, butterflies, lizards, and the occasional glimpse of mammals at dawn.

== Best Time ==

The bridges are accessible year-round. The green season (June–November) provides the most lush vegetation and active water in the streams. The dry season (December–April) offers drier trails and better walking conditions but some streams may be low or dry.

== Getting There ==

[[Las Tunas]] is approximately 1 hour north of [[Montañita]] by bus on the E-15. Ask the driver to stop in Las Tunas village.
