Punta Blanca is a small beach community north of La Libertad along the Ruta del Spondylus, popular with Ecuadorian families as a weekend destination (fines de semana = weekends).

On weekends, Punta Blanca fills with:

From La Libertad, take the coastal highway north toward Palmar. Punta Blanca is approximately 15 km from La Libertad. Buses on the La Libertad–Manglaralto route stop at Punta Blanca. Taxis are also available.
